TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1) Booking procedure: Upon receipt of your booking request, we will send you a pre-booking confirmation email. Your rental will be definitively confirmed upon payment of a 20% deposit of the total rental amount. The balance must be paid 30 days before arrival.
2) Cancellation terms and fees: More than 30 days before arrival: the deposit is retained. From 30 to 15 days before arrival: 75% of the total stay amount is retained. From 14 days before arrival: 100% of the total stay amount is retained.
3) Arrival – Departure: Check-in is at 5:00 p.m. and check-out is at 11:00 a.m. Airport transfer to the villa is not included in the price. We can arrange an airport transfer upon request. We strongly recommend renting a vehicle and can refer you to our car rental partner. We will send you a detailed itinerary and will ask for your flight schedule in order to welcome you in the best possible way on your arrival day.
4) Additional fees:
- End-of-stay cleaning fees are included in the rental price. The tenant agrees to return the villa in the same condition in which it was rented. Otherwise, a deduction of €250 will be made from the security deposit on the day of check-out. If the client does not wish to handle the cleaning themselves, they may pay for the end-of-stay cleaning option for €250.
- Tourist tax of €1.30 per day and per person over 18 years old is payable when settling the balance.
- The villa has a maximum capacity of 8 people. With the owner's prior approval, an additional extra bed may be provided at a cost of €15 per day. These fees are payable with the balance.
5) Security deposit: The €4,000 security deposit is not included in the rental price. It is payable on site by credit card pre-authorisation on the day of arrival, after a complete inventory. Please report any anomaly within 24 hours. After this deadline, no claim will be accepted. The security deposit will be refunded at the end of the stay following the check-out inspection and inventory. A deduction from the security deposit, at the owner's discretion, may be made in case of missing and/or broken items, or missing or stained linen. If the damage caused is estimated to exceed the security deposit paid at the beginning of the stay, the owner will open a legal case, calling upon the insurance of the relevant parties if necessary.
6) Rules of use: The house has a maximum capacity of 9 people. No additional occupant will be accepted without the express authorisation of the owner. The tenant uses the premises as a temporary holiday residence only, excluding any commercial or professional use. Any total or partial subletting is prohibited. The tenant must respect neighbourhood rules and normal living standards. Any disturbing noise, caused unnecessarily or due to a lack of caution, is prohibited day and night, in particular due to its intensity, duration or repetitive nature, regardless of its source; This applies in particular after 10:00 p.m. from Monday to Saturday, and from 12:00 noon on Sundays and public holidays. *A tolerance is granted for 1st January, the "Fête de la Musique" (Music Day), Bastille Day, and the annual town festival. Failure to comply with this clause will result in a €500 deduction from the security deposit.
7) Reassignment: VILLAS SAINT ARNOULT SARL reserves the right, in the event of a major issue, to assign the tenant to another villa offering equivalent services, without modifying this contract or its price.
8) Liability: The accommodation is insured by the owner, who undertakes to deliver it in perfect condition of cleanliness and maintenance, in accordance with the description on the website. However, the owner cannot be held responsible in the event of theft, loss, accident, damage, or other issues that may arise concerning any tenants or their belongings. Tenants are therefore advised to take out insurance. Once the booking is confirmed, the provider guarantees the rental in accordance with the booking contract. In the event of default or inability to provide the service, the owner agrees to rent another villa offering at least the same quality of service in a similar environment.
9) Disturbances caused: The client is required to ensure that the tranquillity of the neighbourhood is not disturbed by their actions, particularly around the swimming pool.
10) Unforeseen events: The owner cannot be held responsible for any losses suffered in the event of strikes, flight cancellations, or disturbances caused by events near the rented property, such as receptions, construction work or others.
11) Children's safety: The property has, or will have, a swimming pool secured by an alarm meeting European standards. In all cases, tenants are solely responsible for the vigilance and safety of accompanying children. The owner cannot be held liable in the event of an accident.
12) Competent jurisdiction in the event of a dispute: The competent jurisdiction in the event of a dispute is the Tribunal Mixte de Fort-de-France. This contract is governed by French law.
